Crystal Squadron
The pilots listed below call themselves the Crystal Squadron. There are no formal membership rules other than to fly safely and go for long flights. The acknowledged and respected leader is Henry Combs; a living legend.
Henry has made over 200 straight out long flights that were over 500 km long. 500 km = 310.7 miles. Many of his flights were much longer!

A Henry Combs Trophy is awarded each year for the pilot making the most diamond flights of the year. Click on the link below for more information on that!

In loving memory of Gene Carapetyan
Gene Carapetyan was a great soaring pilot and a great friend to everyone.  
On June 19, 2003, he was tragically killed in a glider crash in the San Gabriel Mtns.  
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.  He will be missed by many.
