Here we're headed east across Cajon Pass, not expecting much lift for the next 35 miles or more.  

Clouds on the right could indicate good lift, but if it's not there the landing options are down and to the right of this photo, below the mountains in the San Bernardino area.

We aim for the RED STAR, and will feel lucky if we cross a shearline before we arrive there.
