Renters insurance…

After consideration and several conversations, it was brought to my attention that many of our friends who are renter pilots would be willing and able to pay for any responsibility related to damage of an aircraft they might fly.

Therefore, (and with some relief) I have revised the requirement relating to renters insurance.

If you are willing to accept the responsibility for damage caused to a glider being flown by you as pilot in command, and are able to pay for any damage, there will be no requirement for the insurance.

For those of you who have purchased insurance as a result of my requirement, and are willing to accept responsibility, any rental charge  in the period that the insurance is in effect will be discounted by $10 per hour before pre-purchased (block time) discounts are applied. Be sure to tell the person making your statement that you are on the list.

For the longer future, if you choose to purchase, or already carry renters insurance, I will discount the rental by $5.00 per hour on any ship.

PS; Each Saturday afternoon there will be a session of “Congenia” to begin at 3:00 PM with me being the host. Please participate, it will be valuable but there will be no charge as long as you participate.
