WHERE  TO  FIND  US

Crystal airport is the closest soaring site to Los Angeles and is the ONLY one in Los Angeles County.
We are located about 20 miles east of Palmdale on highway 138, just off 165th St. E., in Llano, CA.    When you arrive, be sure to turn off your headlights!

Below this map are two more localized ones,
for approaching from the west and the east.

approaching from the WEST:
If you are coming from the western part of The Los Angeles area,
get onto Interstate 14, heading to Palmdale.
Exit at the Pearblossom Hwy ramp.
Follow Pearblossom Hwy to the diagonal four point intersection at hwy 138.
Turn right and follow hwy 138 through the towns of Littlerock and Pearblossom. About 4 miles after you pass Pearblossom,
you will find the first paved road and it is 165th St. east.
Turn to the south, to the mountains, and go another 1 1/2 miles to W14.
Our sign says Sailplane rides with a red arrow. Turn east down our gravel road about a half mile and park where you see our shaded park.

approaching from the EAST:
Coming from the south and east, take Interstate 15 north to Hwy 138
just north of a trucking weigh station, and then go north and west on 138 about 26 miles.
From the north and east, take Interstate 15 south into Victorville,
and then go west on Hwy 20 about 30 miles.
From either direction, watch for a big green highway sign at 165th St. east.
There, turn south, to the mountains, and go another 1 1/2 miles to W14.
Our sign says Sailplane rides with a red arrow.
Turn east down our gravel road about a half mile to where you'll see our shaded park.
