Here At Great Western Soaring School our goal is always to provide excellent service with our very friendly and experienced staff. Flying a sailplane high above mountains and deserts is only part of the soaring experience. Eagerly sharing with others what we learn from our own studies and extensive practice…the pleasures of teamwork… these are the best things in life. Newcomers here have opportunities to meet and get to know pilots of elite status in soaring. All are welcomed to join the camaraderie and participate in activities. When our students graduate to ever higher levels of achievement, they know they will succeed and be better, safer pilots because of the service they receive at our soaring school.  Not only do we teach people to fly very well, we also hope to cultivate friendships between ourselves, our students and all pilots, many of whom also learned to fly here.

Our aircraft are among the best maintained in the business, and we intend to improve our fleet. Soon, the sailplanes we offer will be newer, higher performance, and also easier to fly.
